早康熙 Early Kangxi Wucai Beaker Vase

A very rare early Kangxi wucai enameled beaker vase with flattened rim and molded spiraled center section decorated with a design of various types of chrysanthemums centered between borders of upright and pendant lotus petals painted in iron red on either side of basket weave borders and flower cell borders. The widely flared rim having alternating colored floral sprays in petal shaped frames beneath a border of meandering periwinkle and chrysanthemum blossoms. On the interior rim the same meandering floral border is present. The splayed platform base painted with alternating red and green dots framed by blue lines beneath a wide blue raised rib and above it an egg and dart type border. The base is unmarked and glazed white with the foot rim showing evidence of burning.  Originally part of a garniture set that most likely was composed of five vases.
