嘉慶 Jiaqing Large Jun Red Pedestal Bowl

A large heavily potted early 19th C deep bowl with a flared rim covered in a thick orange-peel (ju-pi) textured red Jun-type glaze, thinning from the rim edge exposing the buff tone body. The thick copper red glaze drains from the rim and congeals in a thick layer stopping just short of the base and in some areas showing evidence of nearly oozing over the burnt red biscuit of the foot. The interior of the base is applied  with a white finely crackled glaze.
清代 Qing dynasty, 嘉慶 Jiaqing Period (1796-1820)
Height:  4 1/2" (11.5cm)  Diameter: 10 5/8" (27cm)
Condition:  Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations, rim slightly warped.
