A small well-potted globular-shaped water pot, the rounded body rising to a slightly upturned mouth rim covered overall with a brilliant mirror black glaze turning to brown at the mouth rim and stopping well above the foot. The interior and base is glazed white. On the concave base is the four character apocryphal kaishu mark of 乾隆 Qianlong.
