Pair of Miniature 道光 Daoguang Iron Red Pear Shaped Vases

A pair of early 19th century miniature iron red (rouge de fer) pear shaped vases modeled after archaic bronze hu form vases with animal handles. The bulbous body rests upon a splayed foot, above the sloping shoulders on opposing sides are molded dog heads with rings suspended from their mouths. The interior and inverted foot rim are covered in a clear glaze.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 道光 Daoguang Period (1821-1850)
Height: 3 3/4" (9.5cm)

Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or repairs.
