Pair of Small 光緒 Guangxu Ducks Bowls

A fine pair of  "Ducks" bowls painted in the doucai palette, each with rounded sides rising to a hint of a flared rim. The exteriors decorated with four ducks swimming in a lotus pond separated by stands of lotus and millet below double blue lines at the rim and above a band of lappets radiating from the foot. On the interiors is a roundel of further ducks in a lotus pond encircled by concentric lines. The interior edge also treated with a double line border. On the bases in underglaze blue written in kaishu script is the six character mark and period of 光緒 Guangxu.
