雍正 Yongzheng Blue & White Double Phoenix Saucer

A fine Imperial blue and white saucer with everted rim decorated on the exterior with two mythological phoenix birds in flight, each with outspread wings and streaming tail amongst stylized clouds, framed within line borders. The interior painted with two phoenix in opposing position amongst stylized ruyi clouds encircled by double line border. A further double line border decorates the cavetto rim. On the base centered between concentric circles is painted the six character kaishu mark and period of the 雍正帝 Yongzheng Emperor.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 雍正 Yongzheng Period (1723-1735)
Diameter:  6 3/8"  (16.2cm)
Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or restoration, the word 'CHINA' inscribed in the glaze above the reign mark.
