乾隆 Qianlong Phoenix Saucer

A fine blue and white saucer with everted rim penciled on the interior with a mythological phoenix bird in flight with outspread wings and streaming tail amongst meandering flowering tendrils, framed within line borders.  The exterior painted with two phoenix in opposing position amongst further meandering floral tendrils encircled by double line border.  A further double line border decorates the cavetto rim.  The base is unglazed showing the exposed fine biscuit.

Condition:  Gold lacquer repair filled chip and associated crack.
