A blue and white aster dish of ribbed form with a barbed rim raised on a ring foot decorated in the cavetto with repeated panels enclosing a single blossoming aster flower.  In the well of the dish are four aster flowers on a ground of scrolling swirls.  On the foot is a double line border.  The reverse side repeats the same pattern as on the cavetto.  The base is glazed white with underglaze blue concentric rings encircling a shop mark.
清代 Qing dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Diameter:  10 1/2" (26.7 cm)
Condition: Minor chip on exterior rim and typical fritting of glaze in several locations on the rim.
