康熙 Kangxi Egg & Spinach Bowl

A fine bowl with steeply rounded sides set upon a high wide ring foot covered on both the interior and exterior with a splashed three color (sancai) glaze known as "tiger skin pattern" (Hu pi ban) better known as "egg & spinach" glaze applied directly onto the biscuit which has been coated with a creamy slip and then covered with a clear glaze.  The base shows chatter marks at the foot rim and is coated with a creamy slip. 
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
  Height:  3"  (7.6 cm)  Diameter:  6 7/8" (17.5 cm)
Condition:  Scratches on the exterior and wear in spots of the glaze in the well of the bowl conducive to use. There is also a glaze bruise on the base.
