康熙 Kangxi Egg & Spinach Bowl
A fine bowl with steeply rounded sides set upon a high
wide ring foot covered on both the interior and exterior with a splashed three
color (sancai) glaze known as "tiger skin
pattern" (Hu pi ban) better known as "egg &
spinach" glaze applied directly onto the biscuit which has been coated with
a creamy slip and then covered with a clear
glaze. The base shows chatter marks at
the foot rim and is coated with a creamy slip. |
