康熙 Kangxi Famille Verte Susancai Rouleau Vase

A very rare rouleau vase decorated in the susancai palette with the enamels applied directly to the biscuit body.  The vase is painted with three birds perched on branches of a blossoming prunus tree accompanied by willow and blooming narcissus flowers all originating from stylized rocks with other blooming flora upon a green ground.  The base is covered with a clear glaze.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Height:  17" (43.2cm)
Provenance:  Vermeer & Griggs Collection No. 575
Condition:  Excellent except the galleried rim restuck at lute joint on neck.
