A saucer dish decorated in the center with the five bats of the wufu painted in iron red with gilt highlights, their wings linked to form a circle, encircled around the cavetto by further bats in different attitudes of flight, repeated on the exterior, all between underglaze blue double-line borders. Encircling the foot is a key-fret border. Centered on the base is the six character kaishu mark and period of Guangxu.
