雍正 Yongzheng Imperial Lavender Blue Bowl

A fine and rare deep bowl of classic form and proportion with rounded sides and everted rim raised on a tall ring foot covered on the exterior and interior with a lavender blue glaze darkening where the foot joins the body leaving the rim white.  The six character mark and period of Yongzheng is written in kaishu script and encircled by concentric circles in underglaze blue on a white ground.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 雍正 Yongzheng Period (1723-1735)
 Height:  2 3/4" (7.1cm)  Diameter:  5 11/16" (14.5cm)
Provenance:  Vermeer & Griggs Collection No. 204
Condition:  Two hairline cracks from the rim.
