A fine 18th century langyao (sang de boeuf) glazed brushwasher, of compressed shallow globular section with a wide incurving mouth, the glaze drains from the mouth rim darkening as it reaches the foot and stopping short of the foot rim. The base and the interior are covered in a pale gray crackled glaze.
