乾隆 Qianlong Sacrificial Blue Glazed Stem Cup (Gao Zu Bei)

A very rare Imperial stem cup (gao zu bei) applied with a thick deep purplish-blue glaze referred to as sacrificial blue (ji lan) to both the interior and the exterior stopping evenly just short of the foot rim. The reign mark inscribed in underglaze blue in zhuanshu seal script in a line inside the base of the stem which is covered in a clear glaze. Mark and period of 乾隆 Qianlong.

Condition: Excellent, some burst glaze bubbles in the enamel.
