康熙 Kangxi Pair of Peony Form Nose Cups

An extremely rare pair of 18th C peony flower cups with hollow stems, also called nose cups, finely molded and incised covered in deep sacrificial blue glaze. These cups were made as an amusement for the court. Larger size cups were also painted in enamels of the famille rose palette and some are inscribed with dates late in the Guangxu period.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Length:  5 3/4" (14.6cm)  Width: 4 3/4" (12.1cm)
Condition:  Perfect.
