A extremely rare white glazed scholar's paint palette with rounded sides covered in an ivory toned glaze. The body with five circular wells (depressions) encircling a sixth in the center to hold various colored paints. On the base are spur marks showing the palette was probably dipped in glaze and fired on supports. A teak wooden stand and cover made to fit the piece is included.
