康熙 Kangxi Lavender Blue Glazed Bottle
|
|
A fine elegantly potted Kangxi bottle of tall slender
form, the sides angle outwards rising to the rounded shoulder tapering inwards
to form the long neck with a slightly flared mouth. The body covered in an even toned
lavender cobalt blue glaze extending to the mouth-rim. The interior is glazed white. The slightly convex base left unglazed exposing the compact biscuit.
A nearly identical vase with darker blue glaze is illustrated in the book, Minjian micang Zhongguo gutaoci jianshang: Xiande
jingshe cangpin xiezhen (Appreciation of Hidden Treasures of Ancient Chinese
Ceramics Selected from the Collection at Xiande Abode), Pei Guanghui,
plate 61, page 39, published 2001, ISBN 7-5393-1064-2. |
