A very rare coral red (shan hu hong) enameled vase of slender elongated
pear shape. The neck rises from a raised bowstring band that encircles
the shoulder and flares widely terminating in a galleried lipped rim. The body rests on a wide
splayed stepped foot. The interior and base are covered in a gray crackled
glaze. The coral red glaze is tinted slightly pinkish in tone. |
