康熙 Kangxi Carved Sleeve Vase

A finely carved Jingdezhen white-ware tall sleeve vase tapering slightly inward to the base with a short waisted neck and flared mouth rim. The body carved with lotus flowers and tendrils above stylized lappet border and beneath a border of ruyi head shaped interlocking clouds. Encircling  the shoulder is a key-fret band and on the neck are stiff upright plantain leaves.  The recessed base and body covered in a creamy white glaze wherein minute speckles of iron spots have randomly risen to the surface.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Height:  15 1/4" (38.7cm)
Condition: Good, vertical hairline crack in body.
