康熙 Kangxi Large Peachbloom Glazed Dish (Pan)

A rare large peachbloom glazed dish (pan), the shallow sides rising in a wide flared profile from the wedge shaped foot. The interior applied with a pinkish and finely mottled bubble suffused copper red glaze leaving the rim glazed white while the exterior is covered in a more transparent pinkish copper red glaze suffused with darker crackles thinning at the rim and foot with the pale gray crackled glaze beneath stopping just short of the footrim. On the base the pale gray crackled glaze shows a tint of pink. The wedge shaped footrim is burnt red in the firing.
