嘉慶 Jiaqing Apple Green Alms Bowl

An early 19th C alms bowl also known as a "beggar's bowl" of apple form with a bi-form foot with recessed center, the rounded sides rising to an incurved mouth. The body is covered in a golden thread crackled glaze over which is applied an even toned deep apple green translucent glaze extending to the mouth-rim. The interior is covered in the golden thread crackled glaze. The wide foot is left unglazed and the recessed disk is white with some golden crackle at its perimeter.
Height:  3 1/2" (8.9 cm)
清代 Qing dynasty, 嘉慶 Jiaqing Period (1796-1820)
Condition:  Excellent.
