光緒 Guangxu White Engraved Dragon Bowl

A finely potted Imperial bowl, the deep rounded sides rising to a slightly flared rim banded by a flattened rib covered on the interior and exterior with a pure white glaze and engraved with a pair of strident five clawed dragons contesting the flaming pearl.  A faint greenish tint has been embedded into the engraving giving the illusion the design has been cut through the biscuit.  The base is glazed white and bears the six character mark and of the period of the 光緒帝 Guangxu Emperor in kaishu script in underglaze blue.

Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations.
