乾隆 Qianlong Guanyao Type Saucer Dish
A rare Qianlong saucer dish covered in a
Guanyao type gray-blue glaze
with crackle tinted with a brownish tone in the manner of the Southern Song period
Guan wares made for the court. The heavily potted dish mimicking the Song
form is supported on a broad rounded foot rim which shows slight burning where
the glaze meets the biscuit. The bottom of the dish extends outward from the foot and then rises to a
flared rim. On the interior the glaze pools at the base of the cavetto darkening
to a bluish green tone. |
