乾隆 Qianlong Archaic Bronze-Form Vase

An 18th C archaic bronze-form vase of squared baluster shape, the neck rising to a gentle flare with a protruding band just below the mouth-rim and opposing dragon headed ring handles with pendant rings.  The neck decorated in relief with a shou medallion surrounded by the wufu. On the shoulder of the vase is a collar of linked ruyi heads above two opposing bifurcated chilongs centered on the body which rests on a splayed foot. The vase is covered in a thick olive toned celadon guan-type glaze. The bottom also glazed with the foot rim coated in an iron wash as is the lip of the vase.
