Rare 乾隆 Qianlong Qilong Scholar's Ink Tray
A rare scholar's ink tray of circular
scalloped and foliated form. In the center of the tray is a bat encircled
by two opposing bifurcated qilongs with triangular spinal ridges used for wiping
excess ink from the brush and as a brush rest. The entire tray is covered
in a gray Ge (jinsi tiexian) crackle glaze with the base left unglazed. 18th century,
