Small 康熙 Kangxi Famille Verte Rouleau Vase (Bangchuiping)

A small famille verte rouleau (Bangchuiping) vase, painted in black enamel on the neck with bamboo and a zig-zag flower diaper border on the shoulder with the remains of a further line border evident. Painted on the body is a lady carrying a box leaving a man seated at a table playing the game of weiqi. Upon the base is the six character kaishu mark of Kangxi enclosed within double rings in underglaze blue and of the period.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)

Provenance:  Vermeer & Griggs Collection No. 212
Condition:  Excellent except for some flaking of the aubergine enamel on the table top corner.
