Pair of 19th C Famille Noire Quadrilateral Vases

A very fine and massive pair of 19th century 康熙 Kangxi style famille noire quadrilateral vases with cylindrical flared trumpet necks, each panel decorated with floral motifs depicting one of the flowers of the four seasons exquisitely painted in the famille verte palette against a glossy black ground.  On each corner of the shoulders are blossoming prunus sprigs.  The bases are unglazed and in a countersunk square under a clear glaze in underglaze blue is the six character kaishu apocryphal mark of the 康熙 Kangxi Emperor.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 光緒 Guangxu Period (1875-1908)
