康熙 Kangxi Blue & White Kraak Style Floral Dish

A thinly potted blue and white Chinese Kraak style plate or dish, the cavetto with faintly molded lotus leaves forming a barbed rim decorated with lotus petal shaped panels strewn with floral sprays alternating with a single aster flower against a cracked ice ground beneath the barbed edge trimmed with prunus (plum) blossoms. The center medallion framed by a double line border features a centrally placed peony flower surrounded by chrysanthemum blooms and scrolling foliage. The reverse decorated with the eight precious objects beneath a line border and above a lotus petal border. The base bears a beribboned artemisia leaf within concentric circles.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
