康熙 Kangxi Blue & White Goblet

A 17th C 早康熙 early Kangxi, circa 1660-73, blue and white deep stem cup or wine goblet raised on a hollow ribbed stem supported on a splayed stepped foot.  The body decorated with classical intertwined lotus blossoms and leafy tendrils in various intensities of blue washes. On the stem on either side of the bisecting rib is painted classic scroll designs and on the base and lip is a zig-zag floral border, repeated on the interior lip. The base and interior of the stem is glazed white, the foot is unglazed.

Height:  4 3/4" (12.1cm)
Condition:  Some glaze frits on the stem rib.
