An elegant and rare  finely potted pear shaped vase raised on a ring foot painted with green Imperial five clawed writhing dragons amidst red flames in doucai enamels on a brilliant lemon yellow ground above turbulent waves crashing against protruding rocks. The base glazed white and bearing an apocryphal mark of the 正德帝 Ming Zhengde Emperor ( 1506-1521) within concentric circles in underglaze blue.

Condition:  The neck has been cut down probably an inch (2.54cm).
