康熙 Pair of Kangxi Doucai Qilong Saucers

A rare pair of stoutly potted shallow saucer dishes with rounded flaring sides and an everted rim raised on a ring foot decorated in doucai enamels. The interior well of the dish painted with a roundel of a qilong amidst scrolling leafy tendrils holding a lingzhi fungus. The cavetto painted with two underglaze blue double line borders at the rim and well of the dish encircling five further qilongs of various colors separated by scrolling leafy tendrils with a red ruyi head. The exterior decorated with four lingzhi fungus sprigs between double line borders. On the base within concentric underglaze blue circles is written a square floral brocade mark within double line borders often referred to as a 'fantasy' or 'shop' mark.

  Condition:  Excellent, minor filled frits on rims of both dishes, two small hairlines from the rim on one dish.
