Pair of 康熙 Kangxi Doucai Qilong Saucers

A very rare pair of shallow saucers, the sides rising steeply to an everted rim. The interior decorated in doucai enamels with a pale aubergine bifurcated qilong amidst Indian lotus blossoms and leafy tendrils. The exterior further decorated with a band of leafy tendrils with alternating qilongs and lotus blossoms. Upon the bases of each saucer is found within concentric underglaze blue circles the honorific six character kaishu mark of the 成化 Chenghua Emperor.

  Condition:  Restored chip to one saucer, the other with a hairline crack.
