Pair of 道光 Daoguang Doucai Horse Hoof Bowls (Mei ti bei)

A fine pair of doucai bowls with upright flaring sides (horse's hoof form-mei ti bei) painted to the exterior with five detached foliate and floral roundels studded with berries, interspersed by upright and pendant pomegranate sprays above a band of overlapping leaf lappets at the flat recessed base. On the base in underglaze blue is the zhuanshu seal mark and period of the Daoguang Emperor.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 道光 Daoguang Period (1821-1850)
Height:  2 5/8" (6.7cm)  Diameter:  6" (15.2cm)
Condition:  Excellent, one bowl with triangular piece re-stuck and invisibly restored at rim.
