Pair of 道光 Daoguang Doucai Horse Hoof Bowls (Mei ti bei)
A fine pair of doucai bowls with upright flaring sides
(horse's hoof form-mei ti bei) painted to the
exterior with five detached foliate and floral roundels studded with berries,
interspersed by upright and pendant pomegranate sprays
above a band of overlapping leaf lappets at the flat recessed base. On the base in
underglaze blue is the zhuanshu seal mark and period of the Daoguang Emperor. |
