Large 18th C Dehua Floral Molded Cup

A large Dehua libation cup modeled in the form of a rhinoceros horn, the surface carved with lotus petal lappets over which a decoration of peony flowers has been carved on one side and on the other prunus blossoms. The cup rests on a carved stand of intertwined branches which travel up its sides all covered in a creamy ivory translucent glaze. Circa 1750, Qianlong period.
Height:  2 1/2" (6.4cm)  Length  3 7/8" (9.8cm)  Width:  3 1/2" (8.9cm)
Condition: Excellent, no chips or restorations, firing flaws (cracking of biscuit) in well of cup.
