17th Century Dehua Guanyin Seated at Royal Ease

A fine Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin seated in rajalalitasana (royal ease), her left arm resting on her knee, her right hand holding the scroll of wisdom. Her face lowered with a benign expression below an elaborate chignon mounted with a jeweled diadem, clothed in an elegant voluminous flowing robe falling in thick folds with long cowl draped over her high chignon. The robe is open at the chest to reveal a beaded necklace, her one leg crossed under the raised knee, all under a ivory toned glossy glaze.
