Kangxi Dehua Standing Guanyin

An exquisite Kangxi period, 17th century Dehua (blanc de chine) figure of a standing Guanyin.  The body covered in a lustrous translucent creamy glaze.  The deity holds the scroll of wisdom in delicately modeled hands.  The edges of her robe are incised with a fine scrolling border showing through the milky glaze.  Her feet peek from beneath her voluminous garment.  Despite the dainty appearance the piece is quite heavy, typical of early Dehua wares.
