Late 17th C 康熙 Kangxi Figure of a Lohan

A late 17th C figure of a lohan, the personal disciple of the Buddha. He is generally portrayed with his hands beneath his robe, as in this case. A lohan is easily recognized by his Aryan features, bald head and bushy eyebrows. They are also known as arhats.  In Chinese Buddhism there are 18 lohans.

Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or restoration, minor firing flaws at base.
