Late 17th/early 18th C 康熙 Kangxi Dehua Seated Guanyin

A very rare and fine Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin, the goddess seated on a low oval dais which appears to be a reed mat, clothed in a voluminous flowing robe that drapes over the dais. The robe is open at the chest to reveal a beaded necklace with a ruyi head (lingzhi fungus) pendant, her hands crossed and resting on her right knee. In her right hand she holds the scroll of wisdom, her face lowered with a benign expression below an elaborate chignon held with a lingzhi hairpin, all under a rich ivory toned glaze. From the He workshop and signed with an impressed seal mark He Chaozong Yin on the figure's back.
