18th Century Dehua Guanyin

An 18th C Dehua, Blanc de Chine, figure of the Guanyin seated at "Royal Ease" upon a rocky dais with a book beside her, a serene expression upon her face and holding a ruyi scepter in her hand. Her flowing robes extend over the rocky ledge. The figure is covered in a sumptuous soft white glaze. On her back is an indecipherable seal mark impressed into the paste under the glaze.
Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period (1662-1722)

Provenance:  E. & J. Frankel Collection, Vermeer & Griggs Collection No. 657
Condition: Firing crack at right base extending from the bottom two others in the underside of the base.
