Rare 雍正 Yongzheng Celadon Water Pot

An extremely rare Imperial water pot of compressed form and globular section, standing on a low rounded footrim, the mouth enclosed by a slightly raised lip. The body is covered in a soft blue-green celadon Ru-type glaze stopping neatly at the rounded foot rim revealing the smooth fine paste. Upon the base in underglaze blue is written in kaishu script the six character mark and period of Yongzheng.
