雍正 Yongzheng Celadon Lotus Form Vase

A fine and elegant fluted and foliated lotus form vase covered in a thick rich blue-green celadon glaze. The form reminiscent of a Song shape and the glaze in imitation of the famous Song  Kinuta glaze, the term used by the Japanese to describe the hue of blue-green celadon that covered a Longquan mallet vase. The pear-shaped fluted body sits atop a high fluted foot-rim, the interior foot-rim scalloped to match as is the foliated mouth. This exquisite example dates to the Yongzheng era. The foot-rim burned reddish where the biscuit meets the glaze.
