乾隆 Qianlong Celadon Glazed Squared Ruyi Handled Vase

A very rare baluster vase of squared ogee section resting on an indented foot-rim. The neck rises steeply from the shoulders in a graceful manner flaring sharply outwards at the mouth-rim. Upon the neck in opposing position are "S" shaped handles terminating in up-turned ruyi heads, the form of a ruyi-head scepter. The entire vase is covered in a pale sea-foam celadon glaze.
