康熙 Kangxi Carved Celadon Guan Jar

A finely carved Ming style guan jar
of squat baluster form, the body carved with peony flowers and meandering leafy tendrils
above a double line border and stylized lappet pattern. The jar is covered in a
rich translucent celadon glaze, the interior unglazed and the recessed base is glazed and
the foot has been painted with reddish toned dressing. |
