康熙 Kangxi Carved Celadon Sleeve Vase

A finely carved tall sleeve vase tapering slightly inward to the base with a short waisted neck and flared mouth rim. The body carved with peony flowers and meandering tendrils between stylized pendant and upright lappet borders of peony blossom petals. Encircling  the short neck is a zig-zag motif. On the shoulders are curly maned lion mask handles with rings pendant from their mouths. The body is covered in a rich translucent olive toned celadon glaze and the recessed base is unglazed and painted with an iron brown wash.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722)

Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations.
