道光 Daoguang Blue and White Lotus Saucer

A fine large blue and white Daoguang mark and period saucer dish raised on a ring foot, the sides rising to an everted rim. Decorated on the exterior with blossoming lotus flowers and scrolling leafy tendrils framed by double line borders. The interior similarly painted with a medallion of scrolling tendrils and blossoming lotus flowers within a double line border. Just beneath the rim is a border of alternating half blossoms and tendrils. On the base in zhuanshu script is the six character mark of the Daoguang Emperor.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 道光 Daoguang Period (1821-1850)
Diameter: 10 13/16" (27.5 cm)
Condition: Excellent, minute chip with associated hairline at rim.
